In February of this year, I was assigned to do specs for Red Cross and their “Heroes Campaign”. I researched Red Cross past ads and noticed that their ads, while very creative and incredibly stylistic, were remarkably simple. Incorporating the cross into the ad was essential. So I used the past ads along with The Fed Ex logo as a model and came up with this. Both spec ads are almost identical. I like spec that just says, “Heroes…Give Blood.” because it is more efficient and more effective. My Editor liked the “We are ‘Heroes’…” better.
